Himeji White Castle with a Free English Tour

Himeji Castle is the largest and most visited castle in Japan, and it was registered in 1993 as one of the first UNESCO World Heritage Sites_Wikipedia
Himeji Castle

Himeji white castle was an very exciting experience!

I went there with my friends in April and had a blast being able to scale the stairs all the way up to the top!

After we passed the ticket gate of Himeji Castle a man with a sign saying "FREE ENGLISH TOUR" was standing providing his services.

At the very entrance, we could take pictures with the men in costumes. What I especially loved is that after we passed the ticket gate a man with a sign saying "FREE ENGLISH TOUR" was standing providing his services. Thanks to that very kind Japanese man and his very good explanations through speech and showing pictures we managed to learn a lot more about the castle than we would have without!

I personally recommend taking an extra pair of socks, as it turns out, we needed to remove our shoes to enter the castle itself!
